We were delighted to continue delivering fixed wire testing to all branches of the Cambridge Building Society recently. The project is complex and requires detailed planning as we are only able to start work when the branches are closed for business for the day. This clearly minimises disruption and inconvenience for the staff and their customers, and it enables us to work through uninterrupted. Given that we have to shut down their servers and all essential equipment, it makes sense for us to work out of hours rather than during their normal working hours. All branches are then returned to Cambridge Building Society before they open for business the following day in order to enable them to power up servers, tills and PCs prior to re-opening. Once the project is completed, we issue an Electrical Installation Condition Report – or EICR – to confirm that the branch is safe to use.
