Keeping electrical safety in check

News

Better safe than sorry

12th January 2016

Both the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 (HSW Act) in Great Britain and the Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order 1978 in Northern Ireland stipulate that employers are responsible for ensuring the safety and health of their employees and the public if they are in any way at risk from their work activities. This of course includes electrical safety, and at MS Electrical Services we’re here to help keep your electrical safety in check.

Fixed wire testing – occasionally also referred to as fixed installation testing – focuses on checking the safety of the electricity within your place of work. The benefits of regular fixed wire testing are that the most common causes of injury and, in the most severe cases, death through faulty installations can be avoided.

Among the most common causes of electrical injury at work are electric shock, electrical burns, loss of muscle control and thermal burns. The good news, though, is that a programme of regular fixed wire testing can reduce risk and protect your employees.

We offer fixed wire testing in Cambridge, Ely and Newmarket – to request a quotation please contact us.
