With the fire at the centre of the Grenfell Tower tragedy now being attributed to a faulty Hotpoint fridge freezer, the government has stepped in to remind the public of the importance of registering household appliances and keeping abreast of the latest product recalls. As well as containing an up-to-date list of recalls and a ‘Register my Appliance’ service, the site also signposts agencies and organisations that can help with aspects of product safety. I recently had the need to employ an electrical contractor to install a number of charging points within our dealership, in order to prepare for Audi’s growth in the supply and servicing of electric vehicles. We needed three sockets installed in our workshop in order to facilitate the electric charging of vehicles whilst they are in our care.
