Keeping electrical safety in check

Keeping our clients’ electrical safety in check

4th April 2020

The current situation with the Covid-19 pandemic is impacting all of us in both our personal and professional lives, and will continue to do so for the near future.

We are currently unable to carry out electrical safety testing, so we have been using this period to test and implement a robust work management system. The system includes all our testing clients and issues a retest reminder email for any existing client whose testing is due the following month. For these clients we issue a quotation and, when the quotation is accepted, the work is logged on the system to be booked in. If a date is applicable the testing is tagged to be booked by that date or after the lockdown is lifted.

The same applies to all new work that comes in. The job is entered on the system and the dates for the work to be booked in are logged. A confirmation email is sent to the client explaining that we have their job on the system. In terms of compliance, this then demonstrates that the client is doing all they can to get the testing done even under current Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. It also helps the client to move on and focus on other aspects of their business with the guarantee that we will book the work in as soon as we can and that they will not be forgotten. This process also demonstrates to insurance companies and Health & Safety inspectors that the client is still taking its legal obligations seriously with an effective procedure in place.

At MS Electrical Services we offer PAT testing, fixed wire testing and emergency lighting testing in Cambridge, so please call us on 01223 850301 or complete our enquiry form to request a no-obligation quotation.
