In common with many businesses across the UK, here at MS Electrical we suspended operations when the country went into lockdown in order to protect our clients and ourselves. We’ve spent the lockdown period communicating with our clients to ensure that their PAT testing and fixed wire testing requirements are logged and site visits can be scheduled in as soon as is practicable. We've also drawn up detailed policies and procedures guidelines which outline how we can operate in a safe and secure fashion. And now, as regulations have eased slightly, we're able to recommence working, albeit with a number of restrictions and conditions.

Mark Smith, owner and founder, picks up the story. ‘At MS Electrical we’re all about maintaining good practice and ensuring electrical safety for our clients,’ comments Mark. ‘We responded to Covid-19 by suspending site visits to limit the spread of the disease, but as in all areas of our business we’ve used this period to innovate. We’ve launched a new workflow management programme on which we’re logging all testing due dates and reassuring clients that they have been noted as having tried to keep their compliance up-to-date. We’ve also created a full operations manual that explains how we will take precautions prior to entering a client’s premises and throughout our visit to keep everyone - including ourselves - safe from infection. We believe that this sends a powerful message to our clientbase that we are not only taking the Covid-19 pandemic very seriously, but also doing our best to deliver continuity of service to help everyone stay compliant.’
