When carrying out a fixed wire test in a client’s office this week, we were horrified to discover a potential fire risk that could have had fatal consequences. On first inspection the lighting installation appeared fine, but when we took a look above the false ceiling we found that a light transformer was wedged in the insulation. This had already started to generate heat and could have burst into flames at any time, so we were relieved to uncover it just in time.
