The second in our new series of videos focuses on our PAT testing service. Portable appliance testing is the in-service inspection and testing of any 240-volt electrical appliance fitted with a 13-amp plug, or any 110-volt appliance, to ensure its ongoing safety and compliance, as set out in the IEE Regulations for the In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
Our PAT testing service comprises various tests to measure compliance, including a function test, an insulation resistance test, earth leakage tests and, where applicable, an earth continuity test. We also undertake a thorough visual inspection of the appliance.
